William Hayes is a composer, performer, and electronic musician from Seattle, WA. He is guitarist/collaborator with experimental electronic band Newaxeyes, composer of original music and sound design for film, contemporary dance, theater, and a contributor to various bands and artists as a performer and improviser. William received a Bachelor of Music in classical composition in 2013 from Cornish College of the Arts, where he studied with Wayne Horvitz and Jarrad Powell.
William recently played guitars on Jóhann Jóhannson's score to Panos Cosmatos' (Beyond the Black Rainbow) forthcoming film Mandy (2018), guitars on Danish folk/black metal artist Myrkur's latest album Mareridt (2017, Relapse Records) and toured the US and Canada as live keyboardist of Wolves in the Throne Room in Fall of 2016. Newaxeyes' debut LP Black Fax (2018) was recently released on Important Records, produced by Randall Dunn (Sunn O))), Earth, Wolves in the Throne Room).
